Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind (AIDB) celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2008. Since 1858, AIDB has been a leader in education and rehabilitation services for Alabama’s sensory impaired children and adults. AIDB has five campuses in Talladega and a network of eight Regional Centers across the state with locations in: Birmingham, Dothan, Huntsville, Mobile, Montgomery, Talladega, Tuscaloosa and Tuscumbia. For over 150 years, AIDB has been viewed throughout the rehabilitation and education community as the benchmark of quality. Our 150th anniversary was a true achievement worth commemorating. As part of the celebration, a variety of events took place which included a fundraising gala, homecoming, convocation and much more. It was a great opportunity for alumni, donors, employees and friends of AIDB to come together and celebrate our rich and diverse history and our ever expanding future.
