Advancement Team Plans for Future Growth
The Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind Office of Institutional Advancement has undergone reorganization, positioning it for future growth.
Vice President of Institutional Advancement Dr. Ben Bruce said the new organization between development and public relations/marketing will help these departments to flourish through better planning, staffing and implementation.
Bruce said he is proud of his advancement staff and their experience.
“With these professionals in place – working together but within their aligned and complementary roles – our fundraising, public relations and marketing programs are prepped to move significantly forward in the near future for the benefit of our students, clients, faculty and staff,” he said.
The AIDB Foundation was established in 1980 to encourage private support from individuals, foundations and corporations. Since its inception more than $80 million has been raised and invested in AIDB, including the Kiwanis Memorial Athletic Field, independent living centers, dormitories, the creation of Regional Centers, Hawkins Chapel, the equestrian program, centers of excellence in language and science, assistive technology, the arts and the list continues.
