Robert C. Weaver
Long time AIDB volunteer and friend, Robert C. Weaver, passed away today at the age of 86. Mr. Weaver’s spirit of giving was rooted in a deep love for, and commitment to, the children served by AIDB, and a belief that they deserve the best. He was a shining example of the difference one person can make in the lives of so many. Not only did he enrich the lives of thousands of deaf and blind children through unselfishly giving of his time, talents and resources but he gave those same children the tools to be happy, successful adults, productive citizens and great parents. We cannot express enough our thanks for the countless acts of kindness and generosity – he was indeed one of a kind and will be missed by us all.
Graveside services will be at Oak Hill Cemetery at 1 p.m. on Saturday. Visitation will take place at 2 p.m. at AIDB’s Hawkins Chapel. The family asked that memorials be made to the AIDB Foundation or Shocco Springs.
