Five students from Alabama School for the Deaf enjoyed touring Sam’s Club in Oxford, AL for Disability Employment Awareness Month. The Sam’s Club employees were great and shared with the students many different employment opportunities within their organization including bakery, meat department, produce, customer service, vision, hearing aids, electronics, etc. After our tour, they treated our students to a pizza party and a great cake which displayed the AIDB logo. Thanks to Sybil Garrett for interpreting and Jim Fannin for driving and chaperoning. ASD looks forward to establishing a great working relationship with Sam’s Club for our students!
